We celebrated world Book Day by dressing up in our favourite costumes and brought our favourite book to school. The senior room pupils read stories to our junior room pupils and great fun was had by all

Last Friday night we had the most fantastic experience as we achieved second place in the Westport Area Credit Union Quiz. We congratulate our team for their teamwork and the way they studied their general knowledge for the last few weeks. We thank Westport Credit Union Staff and also wish Scoil Phádraig best of luck as we join them in the Mayo Quiz in March.

Our fifth and sixth class boys had a strong showing for the school in the Cumann na mBunscol Quiz, kindly hosted by Fahy N.S. The same team are looking forward to representing the school in the Credit Union Quiz coming up next week.

We are having an Open Evening on Tuesday 3rd February between 6.30 and 7.30pm for anyone who would like to come meet the staff and view our school and afterschool. We look forward to welcoming you and showing you around.

The children of Lecanvey NS kicked off Christmas 2025 with a bang! A beautiful display of Irish Dancing with Bernadine began our show followed by a meaningful and uplifting Junior Nativity. The Senior Room performed a comedy called Operation Santa where the antics of Santa and Co had the audience in stitches. We finished with music with Mary Finn, a raffle and a visit from Santa.

Everyone is very welcome to come and join us for an evening of fun and celebrations.

We were delighted to once again perform at the Mol an Óige concert on Friday evening as part of Féile Chois Cuain.
